Expanding What Classical Music Can Be — Together

Collective Counterpoint is a rotating string ensemble based in the Bay Area. We believe music is a shared experience — one that thrives when it brings people together across backgrounds, traditions, and spaces. Our concerts are designed to be welcoming, accessible, and filled with discovery, whether in a neighborhood park, a community gathering, or a traditional concert hall.

The Kakehashi Project

Collective Counterpoint will premiere a new work by composer Erika Oba, written for taiko soloist Kohtaro Yamakawa and string orchestra.
